Act now to get the best seats available for the Fins’ final regular season games, including this week’s Christmas Eve re-match with the New England Patriots!

The Miami Dolphins will be seeking to avenge their season-opening loss to the New England Patriots when they take on the squad Saturday at Gillette Stadium. That opener was certainly one to remember, and in fact, it was one for the record books. Then-Miami QB Chad Henne and New England’s Tom Brady combined for 906 yards in the air, which was something that had never been done before in Fins history (it broke a 1986 record when the Dolphins and Jets combined for 884 passing yards). Brady also stole the headlines in Week 1 with his exceptional night, as he threw for 517 yards, which ranks as the fifth-highest single-game performance in NFL history.

In Saturday’s pivotal game, the Fins will have to work on limiting New England’s offense, which gained over 600 total yards in that first matchup. We used the word “pivotal” when describing this contest because while Miami is out of playoff contention, the Patriots are looking to wrap up home field advantage throughout the conference championship game – something they can do if they win their last two games.

However, in order to do so, the Pats’ defense has to step up. Unlike the first contest when the Fins were the one with the struggling defense, it’s now New England who is struggling to contain opposing teams. That’s good news for a Miami offense that has been finding its groove in recent games, particularly with Reggie Bush. Bush rushed for a career-high 203 yards last week, which has to be worrisome to a New England defense that gave up 167 yards on the ground in the first quarter alone in their last game. Luckily for them, their offense has been potent enough to overcome whatever weakness they might have on the defensive side of the ball.

This Saturday’s matchup will feature two of the hottest teams in the NFL, as the Patriots have won six in a row, while Miami is winners of five of their last seven games. You don’t want to miss this classic NFL action, so if you’re looking for a last-minute holiday gift, there’s nothing better than a trip to Foxboro to watch the Fins try to play the role of spoiler!
